Thanksgiving Pot Luck
Thursday, November 22, 2007

2 pm - 6 pm FREE!! We had over 75 folks stop by to share their Thanksgiving meal with us. This was so incredible, enjoyable, and touching. This is by far largest crowd to ever spend this special day with us. We are so pleased at the turn out and hope everyone had a nice time and enjoyed their meal.

Blue Angels Flight Simulator
September 7-9, 2007 - Simulator stays an extra day!

See Blue Angels Photo Show

We want to thank Mikey for bringing this simulator to us and showing it off to the folks. We had car clubs, schools, and folks from all over coming out to take their turn at getting on board the simulator. This event was very special to the Military folks around, and as you know there are several of them in the area. The Air Force came out and took their turns as well in this Navy simulator and really enjoyed the experience. Thank you Navy for allowing this to happen as we greatly appreciated the opportunity and experience.

Red Flag Exercise
August 20 thru September 1

Military war games with low level, highly photographic and fast flying aircraft. The war games usually have ground support equipment too in several near by locations. We will be putting up some pictures shortly on this event. It should be done by Tuesday.

E.T. Full Moon Midnight Marathon, 1/2, & 10K - Aug 25-26 (Sat & Sun)

What can be said except it was a smashing success! There is not enough ways to describe all the participation that took place in this marathon. Last count had almost 200 folks in the marathon alone. The weather was fantastic, the Little A'Le'Inn was open all night full service and it was a good thing that it was. Constantly pleasant folks (and hungry, thirsty, and other types) came through these doors in support of this effort. The event may turn into a semi-annual running.

We are unable to tell you all that happened, however, stay tuned and check in on their website for further information and updates including pictures and the whole run down of the event (pun intended - sorry). The link to the site is listed below. Again, we want to take this time and thank everyone that helped, ran, assisted, drove, did communications, served food and drinks, etc.... THANKS!!

  • August 25-26, 2007. Midnight races! Extraterrestial Highway; Rachel, NV (2- 2.5 hours from Las Vegas)
  • Running along the fringe of the mysterious Area 51, this stretch of highway (375) has an overwhelming number of reported UFO sightings. So much so, that in 1996 the federal government officially named highway 375 the Extraterrestrial Highway. Not only is the ET Highway full of alien fun, it traverses some gorgeous scenery as well.
  • At roughly 4000-5600 foot elevation, the high desert abounds with joshua trees and other vegetation unique to the area. This road is also "open range", so don't be surprised if you're passing cows on course!
  • The Little A'Le'Inn will be there at the finish line to support this effort. It is expected to be open to support those that need drinks and food. Open all night for the race and the public.
  • Come join in the fun. This is going to be a very exciting and unusual event under the most star filled skies.

mini-Cooper Car Gathering - Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 6PM
Bring everyone out to see the famous car that is used in the English off-road races. The car club will be stopping in for dinner. Feel free to come and take picturesd and eat with us.

What a great experience and a lot of fun. We were able to see these mini cars at their best. It is amazing to say the least at what such a small vehicle like this can and has accomplished in the uses it gets from around the world of racing and everyday driving.

Thanks goes to all who stopped in or by to check out these vehicles. The food, people, and vehicles were all a shear delight.

2007 Friendship Campout
We are still awaiting the pictures and inputs from our sources to show up so that we can post the event happenings. What we know is that there was a pretty good turn out. Please if you have any photos or input on the conference, then send us an email so that we can post the information. We thank you in advance for any assistance you can give us.

Mother’s Day Dinner
This year was a special one here for us at the Little A'Le'Inn. After having lost so many family members in the last few years, this was a time to get to really reflect on what a priviledge it is to be a MOTHER! Thanks to each and every one of you that came out and allowed this day to be a success.

X Rides
The riders this year were the best. Great fun and lots of laughs. Thanks to all so much for supporting this great cause and assisting where ever the needs came about. It was such a joy for us to again be involved.

Valentines Dinner

The two dinners went over well and were attended by folks from several different locations in the United States and elsewhere around the globe. Thanks to all for making our 20th year such a great success and enjoyable time for all.

The party was attended by a wonderful group of people. The food was excellent and a good time was had by all. Thank you all for making this such a pleasurable night and such a great beginning to a new and woderful year ahead.

Thanksgiving Pot Luck
Thursday, November 23, 2006, 2 PM

Thanks for all who attended. We again shared first time Thanksgiving holiday with folks that have never experienced this yearly tradition. What a joyous and wonderful time it is to be apart of a first like this. It makes us reflect on how it all started.

The happy couple

We, Pat and Bill, would like to thank everyone who came out and attended the wedding and reception. Each and everyone who helped put this together and pull it off - thanks for all the hard work and effort. Special thanks to Marta and her husband for allowing us the use of such a beautiful area to perform the ceremony. Thank you all for the gifts that were greatly appreciated - thank you notes are on there way.

We loved the gifts, the company, the vast number of people who travelled great distances to get here, and everything about the wedding. Yes, there are special memories and things that happened to make this a most memorable wedding. We will be posting pictures of the events leading up to the day, the wedding, and the reception. Pictures will be flowing in from several directons and at various times. Some will be posted untouched while others will under go special processing for a wedding album.

TSCO ❝Vegas to Reno❞ Off-Road Race Pit Stop
August 25, 2006 (Friday)

This turned out to be a very eventful day for all those who came out. Seems that racing and the desert just seem to fit together. This organization was well presented and did a fantastic job of putting everything together to make this a very successful event. It was a real pleasure according to Pat and others to have been involved with them. Hope to do it again in the next year.

I believe this letter below from TSCO sums up the event nicely in which over 450 attended:

Hi Pat:

Thank you so much for all of the work you did on Saturday! Your lunch was fabulous and we had lots of comments about how good the food was. I didn't know you would have to work so hard and so long and I really appreciate all of the work you and your team did to make the lunch such a huge success. Thank you again and I hope you have a profitable day on Friday, Aug 25! Also, thank you for giving up your secret stash of gas!

Best Wishes, Diane

The Great Race Pit Stop - Pictures
July 5, 2006 - "The Great Race Pit Stop" (Wednesday)

This was a most wonderful event. The neat old cars were just great to see. The people who came out really enjoyed all the vehicles and got a bunch of great pictures. Everyone involved we would like to thank you for such a great time and well presented race and allowing us to be a part of one of America's traditions - "The Great Race".

4th of July Fireworks - BBQ (Fireworks cancelled due to drought and fire hazards)
July 4, 2006(Tuesday)
It turned out to be quite an event this 4th. The BBQ went well and so did the afterwards unexpected events. We want to thank you all for making this a great Independence Day celebration.

Texas 4000 Biking For The Fight Against Cancer
June 23-24, 2006 (Friday-Saturday)
The event was a great success. Everyone was well fed and seemed to enjoy themselves. Once we found out that they did not have a sponsor for the next leg of the race, we got ourselves in gear and prepared the riders meals. As always, we are proud to sponsor this event since it is for a great cause. We are looking forward to helping out again next year. Thanks goes out to everyone who stopped by and supported the riders and the cause.

UFO Conference 2006 - Pictures
May 26 - May 28, 2006 (Friday - Sunday)
Trying to put this very highly motivated, awe inspiring event into proper perspective. What a huge turnout and success. The spirit surrounding this event was very strong and heart felt. If you have ever heard these words 'The spirit moved me', it was just like that this year - electrifying! More to come about the speakers and much more hopefully to include pictures.

Mother's Day Dinner 2006
May 14, 2006 (Sunday)
Thanks to all who made this a very successful event. We will continue this again next year as the turn out was great, and so were all the folks who attended.

Rachel Day 2006 - Pictures - PhotoShow
May 13, 2006 (Saturday)
The city was well stocked as many travels came from near and far to see this annual event. From everything that we saw folks were having a great time and really enjoyed the events and the day's activities. Thanks goes to all who helped make this a great day and put in so much work to pull this off.

THE "X" RIDES - The Road Is Out There!
May 6 - May 7, 2006 (Saturday - Sunday)
Lots of cyclist and lots of dancing. Folks kicked up their heals until 2 am with the live music. The weather was great and so was all the fun and enjoyment. Cannot wait to do this again next year!

Harley (HOGs) Pit Stop 2006
May 3, 2006 (Wednesdday)
The HOG show was something to see - and hear! About 30 bikes came screaming into the inn. They stayed for about an hour, had some food, and bought some goodies, then on their way they went headed for their next pit stop. It was a lot of fun and a great excitement for the day. Some of those hogs are just out of this world, beautifully built, painted, and well maintained as you can imagine. Also, we were told that Neil is home now recovering from his mishap and doing better with each and every passing day. Keep the prayers up and he will be riding again soon. Thanks to all who came and spent their time with us. In addition, they have promised us some pictueres for here at the web site so we are awaiting those and will get them up just as soon as they arrive.

Easter Day Traditional Dinner Special 2006
April 16, 2006 (Sunday)
The Easter dinner was an over whelming success. At times it was standing room only. We want to thank you for your participation and from what we can tell, most everyone had a great time and meal.

St Patrick's Day Party 2006
March 17, 2006 (Friday)
Some of us are feeling a little under the weather after this event. I believe they say something about 'the hair of the dog who bit you'. Anyway it was a fun time and the laughter and cheers could be heard into Area 51 - I believe. What a party!

The most green shades worn contest went to Bob with no less than 7 shades of green to be seen. The day after it might just be 8 or 9 shades! Maybe due to envy, or something about being green around the gills.

Our thanks goes out to our panel of independent judges form Alta, California, who made the final decisions in determining our contest winner.

Valentines Dinner 2006
February 11 and 14, 2006 (Saturday and Tuesday)
